2020: 7 Reasons to Experience Charleston Restaurant Week

It’s almost the best week of the year here in Charleston – Restaurant Week! It’s the one week every year when all of your favorite (and soon-to-be favorite) restaurants come together to celebrate the thing they all have in common – food!

Are you as excited as we are?!

As we finalize the lineup and menus for all of the festivities, here are 7 reasons to get excited for a week of good meals and great times!

1)  Try a new restaurant!

Over the past few years, a handful of new spots have been popping up around town, and Restaurant Week is a great time to give them a try.

2)  How about new foods?

From a go-to burger to a first-choice brunch, we all have our favorites around town, but when was the last time you tried something different? Here’s your chance! (Pro-tip: We recommend taking someone else with you for the sake of getting one of everything.)

3)  Economic impact

This time of year tends to be a bit of a slower month in the world of restaurants, so there’s no better time for Restaurant Week. It’s the best reason to pull together your favorite group of people for a meal that is both delicious AND helps our local businesses.

4)  Venture into a new part of town

From the West Side to the East End, every part of our city has its unique pinch of charm. Restaurant Week is your excuse to head on over to an area of town that you haven’t checked out in a while. With so much new and colorful public art popping up over the past year, a good meal is a great excuse to venture to new surroundings.

5)  So. Much. Food.

A three-course meal at every restaurant? Deal. With a set price of $25 or $35 (depending on the establishment), you get an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Yes, please!

6)  Getting out and about during January

It’s easy to let chilly weather get you down this time of year, but hey, the city misses you! How about a date night with your someone or just your best friend? We may be impartial, but we think it’s the best time of year for it.

7) Celebrate the start of a new year

January can set the mood for the remainder of the year. Why not start on the right food with a delicious meal, fun experience and memories with friends?
