These 6 signature dishes & drinks at Charleston restaurants will have your tastebuds watering

Charleston Restaurant Week brings out the biggest and best specials at local restaurants, but there are delicious dishes & drinks that are available year-round! While we anxiously await the release of the Charleston Restaurant Week menus, take a look at what you can order off the regular menu any time!

  1. Tidewater Grill

This restaurant features a few crowd-favorites, but a sure win is always the rolls, which are served fresh and hot to each table.

  1. Ichiban Pan-Asian Restaurant

Amidst the fresh sashimi and delicious cocktails, the standout sushi roll at Ichiban is the Almost Heaven Maki. Rolled with shrimp and blue crab and topped with spicy mayo, green onions and chili pepper, this delicious bite packs a bit of punch that is sure to delight!

  1. Bluegrass Kitchen

No meal is complete without some Blueberry Buttermilk Pie for dessert at Bluegrass Kitchen. This local favorite is the combination of a chess pie (eggs, sugar and cornmeal), subbing the cornmeal for flour, adding in buttermilk – and, of course, blueberries! The shop goes through more than 16 pies per day!

  1. Soho’s Italian Restaurant at Capitol Market

The namesake pasta dish, Soho’s Lasagne, is layered with Bolognese meat sauce, ricotta cheese and topped with the restaurant’s’ signature marinara sauce. There’s also a vegetarian zucchini-walnut version complete with cheese, herbs, sauce, vegetables and walnuts in a fire-roasted tomato and basil sauce.

  1. Bridge Road Bistro

With a menu full of chef-cut steaks and fresh seafood, it’s a little-known secret that the BRB Chips are a staple. These fresh-made bistro chips are served warm with bleu cheese and scallions. You can even add bacon!

  1. South Hills Market

The SHMC Caesar salad has been a staple on the menu since the restaurant’s inception, and it’s stocked with pickled tomatoes, aged parmesan, traditional dressing and topped with a crouton ring. Tasty!
